This utility greatly accelerates the installation process for TP-Link wireless access points. It allows users to complete the entire setup - including wireless, encryption, LAN settings, DHCP server settings, and admin password configuration - in just seconds. The TP-Link Installer wirelessly connects to any TP-Link access point in its default configuration and adjusts the settings to meet user specifications. Once the configuration is complete, users can conduct speed tests to evaluate performance or email the configuration details.
This free version offers limited functionality, specifically the admin password change function is disabled. For unrestricted functionality, consider exploring the TP-Link Installer Full version.
Important Note: Some access points with 3G modems, such as the M5350, are not supported.
This version of the utility was tested on the TP-LINK WR741ND access point router. If you try it on other routers, please provide feedback. Since TP-Link access points' web interfaces are consistent across devices, it is likely compatible with other routers as well.
